Random!

Need to get Poppy girl some shades! Ha!

I want our home to tell a story, and I am working really hard to make our home meaningful in every way possible. I love having things in our home that remind us of God's faithfulness in our lives. I love remembering where we have come from and being reminded of where we are going in this life. This is a little corner dedicated to my Boo and B.R.

I love my sister. She is so thoughtful. One night, I came home and found this. It just made me smile. Chris and I are so blessed to have the families that we do. Thank You Lord.

Sweet Audrey Kate was born Saturday, April 21st at 1:28am! We cannot wait to meet this little bundle of joy, and we are so excited for our dearest friends! Congratulations Matt and Court!

On our way home to Shreveport!

She loves riding in the car and the different positions crack me up!

I think she missed her calling!? Need to get this girl an agent!

Beautiful arrangement at my first shower!

My amazing Mamaw and Papaw!

Sleeping Beauties!

What can I say? She has the gift of slumber.

Have to brag! My incredible fiance surprised me with flowers on Friday morning before I left for my first Shreveport shower. He is so thoughtful. Both of us are learning what it means to love and serve each other well, and it's fun and challenging...but so worth it! He's refining us, and it's so good! Something we heard in our marriage class that we both loved was "Marriage was meant to kill you." My first thought..."Well, that's encouraging." Then we heard the words..."If marriage doesn't kill you, it will make you miserable." My second thought..."More encouraging words! Fabulous." Then Chris and I looked at each other and had a little revelation right then and there. We have to let marriage kill us. We have to deny ourselves. We have to marry to serve...not to be served...Wow! Hello! (Mark 10:45) We know it. We've heard it. We've even lived it with our friends and family and church to a degree. But this is a whole new world...loving and serving 24/7 for the rest of our lives...laying our lives down for the sake of the other person...considering the other better than ourselves. The Lord is helping us each and every day, and we know that we cannot do this apart from Him. But we also know that He has called us to this marriage, and it's our assignment in this life. Please pray for us as we are learning and growing in becoming one. We long for our lives to be on display for the glory of His splendor!
