Well, life has been a whirlwind lately. I'm so grateful that He remains the same in the midst of chaos. Thank You Lord for being who You are yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). So much has been happening. It's hard to put it all in words. Sometimes, it all just comes out in tears. I am learning so much about trusting the Lord in all circumstances. I am also learning more about how He allows different things in our life to happen to take us deeper in our intimacy with Him. Sometimes, it's a joyful situation. Other times, it hurts. But everything in this life can be used as a catalyst for knowing and loving Him more. There are many things I don't understand and many things I'll never figure out, but I know that His promises are true. I know that I must meditate on them day and night to be successful in walking by faith. God is so good.
Easter weekend was wonderful, emotional, overwhelming, etc. Thursday night, we were faced with the decision of possibly changing our wedding location for our ceremony and reception. By Friday night, the Lord had provided another venue that was even better. Have you noticed that about the Lord? He gives and takes away, but it is always for our good. The details are still being worked out, but He is truly working on our behalf. We have been amazed at the open doors and the smooth transitions in choosing a new location. In spite of all the stress, Friday night we had a great family dinner at Papa's Burgers. Then, we needed some yogurt to satisfy our sweet tooth. Our neighbors came over later and we all visited for awhile. Chris and I are so blessed. Saturday was a day for just the girls! Chris had to work. Dad watched the Master's and did a few other things around the house to help us out while we went shopping! We even got to see Aunt Jill and Jordie for a couple of hours, because they were in town for the Rangers game. After a full day and night of shopping, we grabbed a late dinner and headed home. Sunday morning was the best! Chris picked me up for breakfast and gave me the sweetest card and then we met my family for church. We absolutely love our new church, and we are so thankful that it is right up the street. Currently, we are attending a class called "Marriage on the Rock." It has been such an encouragement, and we look forward to getting even more involved in our new church home. Woohoo!
