Today, I was looking back at some old journal entries from several years ago. I thought I would share some of the things that I wrote down. I hope you are encouraged. In no particular order and not from the same entry...
A thankful heart prepares the way for the Lord.
Taste and see that the Lord is good.
We've been made rich in every way to be generous on every occasion.
Love covers a multitude of sins.
We love, because He first loved us.
"For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as to divide soul, spirit, joints, and marrow; it is a judge of the ideas and thoughts of the heart." Hebrews 4:12
"My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Psalm 23:5-6
"For God has not given me a spirit of fear but one of power, love, and a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7
"You reveal the path of life to me; in Your presence is abundant joy; in Your right hand are eternal pleasures." Psalm 16:11
"Commit your activities to the Lord and your plans will be achieved." Proverbs 16:3
"I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with My eye on you, I will give counsel." Psalm 32:8
"Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you." 2 Corinthians 13:11
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: 'Rejoice.'" Philippians 4:4
"For the Lord is good, and His love is eternal; His faithfulness endures through all generations." Psalm 100:5
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away." Matthew 24:35
"Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him." Proverbs 30:5
Choose life, so that you and your children may live.
May I be a wise woman who builds her house on the Rock! (Matthew 7:24-27)
Love always means sacrifice.
"Love is extravagant in the price it is willing to pay, the time it is willing to give, the hardships it is willing to endure, and the strength it is willing to spend. Love never thinks in terms of 'how little,' but always in terms of 'how much.' Love gives. Love knows. Love lasts." -Tada
Devote yourself to...the apostles teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.
When we repent, times of refreshing come!
"It is impossible that no offenses should come." Luke 17:1
Offense is a tool of the devil to bring people into captivity.
Pride keeps you from dealing with the truth.
Pride hardens your heart.
Pride causes you to view yourself as a victim, which keeps you from forgiveness.
Just because you have been mistreated does not mean you have permission to hold on to offense.
